Kayak Ergometer Build - Part 2

After breaking the old Ski Cross Trainer down I've started building the Kayak Ergo, photos of the progress to date below.
Roller to tension rope around main axle
Main frame of the Ergo
With the main frame of the Ergo built I then had to start fitting the flywheel and rollers.

With the flywheel and rollers in place focus was turned to the rest of the frame, the seat and footrest were next to be constructed.
Wider seating area than main frame of the Ergo
Basic footrest
After completing the seat and footrest I made the stands that raise the frame off the ground. These had to be carefully measured so that the paddle shaft didn't hit the floor when using the Ergo.

and roller assembly
Footrest and rigging on show
Finally I added a grip shift gear changer to control the tension on the belt around the flywheel. This still needs connecting up, but I'm still waiting for some parts.

Only a few more things to be done before it is ready for action!
